About Tinwood Homes
Brian and Cadie Kalmes are the owners of Tinwood Homes. Brian is a licensed residential/commercial builder, remodeler, and HVAC contractor.
After receiving his B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Brian broke ground and started building his very first home. By immersing himself in this process, he quickly learned about all the trades and processes required to build a home from the ground up. Fueled by his lifelong passion for engineering and building and a vision to create homes with both fluidity and functionality, Brian Kalmes started Tinwood Homes in 2017.
Brian prides himself on providing clients with the highest level of value, craftsmanship, and meticulous detail. He is committed to creating an exciting experience for homeowners and remodelers.
With over 30 years of experience in construction and the trades, he's been exposed to all phases of construction, including: foundations, framing, plumbing, electrical work, heating and air conditioning, tile, trim, roofing, landscaping, and more. He is truly a “hands-on” builder, able to grasp and manage every detail of a project with an insider’s perspective.
Cadie majored in Human Development and Family studies at UW-Stout, with a minor in Coaching and a concentration in Gerontology. She has her own coaching business - Kalmes Consulting - and also handles administration, customer service and marketing responsibilities for Tinwood Homes.
Brian and Cadie have two sons Ethan, Evan, and daughter Ahnna. Football, track and gymnastics occupy most of the family’s spare time. Brian coached the boys in football from 3rd grade until they entered high school. He also serves on the Booster Club board of directors for Twin City Twisters Gymnastics and is the Meet Director where daughter Ahnna is a gymnast.
